Mrs. Julie Pizzino

Julie Pizzino was raised in Mobile, AL, and educated at a private school for girls. She attended Piedmont Bible College (now Carolina University), earning a degree in Religious Education, and then Mary Baldwin University, earning degrees in English and Secondary Education. She was reared in the church by believing parents, but she did not come to saving faith herself until after high school.

In college she met and married Randy Pizzino and subsequently became a pastor’s wife. Randy and Julie have three married children and one granddaughter. They celebrated fifty-five years of marriage in 2023.

Randy pastored for over forty years, and in 2012, he and Julie joined the staff of EPI to serve by training pastors in East Africa. Julie accompanied him to Rwanda, Uganda, and Senegal, teaching women leaders and pastors’ wives.

On February 17, 2024, Randy, after a significant stroke, went to be with the Savior he loved and served. While Julie and the family are grieving his loss, she will continue her ministry in East Africa serving the people she has come to love. Her burden for her sisters there is to have the Word of God in their own language, to know their identity and value in God’s eyes, and to be equipped to serve the Lord in their communities and local churches.

Julie is a member of Grace Church in Roanoke, VA., where Dr. Jack Arnold pastored. She considers Carol Arnold not only a friend but also a model of stewarding the well-being of a widow who loves her family and continues in ministry.
