
Derrick and Amber Hildebrant
Derrick is a 25 year veteran of the Oklahoma Air National Guard and a 10 year multi-vocational pastor in Oklahoma. Derrick retired from the military in 2023 and joined the Lord’s Army with EPI to stay on mission by equipping indigenous pastors to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Derrick has served on the mission field in India and Madagascar.
Derrick has served on the mission field in India and Madagascar. Derrick and Amber live in Catoosa, Oklahoma. They met in high school in Tulsa and got married while in college in 2002. Derrick came to faith in Jesus Christ in college and began serving Him through a ministry of evangelism in his local church. He finished his Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in Health Education and Promotion.
Derrick received a call to ministry in 2009 and began pursuing biblical education through Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his MDiv from Southern in 2017 and continues his education as a PhD candidate in Christian preaching through Southern today. Derrick’s dissertation focus is on expository preaching and biblical languages.
Derrick and Amber have a heart for the local church and have been involved in church-planting and church-merging efforts since 2014, they are members of Journey Bible Church in Tulsa, OK. Derrick serves his local church as a teaching Elder and Amber homeschools their seven children. They desire to see the gospel go forth from the local church to all nations and to equip pastors and their families for the work of ministry.
