Dr. Matthew Burt
Matthew left a career in Radio Broadcasting in 1984 to pursue theological education at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA to prepare for teaching positions in higher education. During his time at Gordon-Conwell, he answered a call to pastoral ministry, which has been his primary ministry role since his ordination in 1991. The year 1999 was a turning point for him as he began work on his Doctor of Ministry degree and also began to fulfill his original dream by serving as an adjunct professor at Bible Colleges and Seminaries both in the United States and abroad teaching Church History, Homiletics, Theology, and Philosophy.
Matthew’s wife Regine has been a constant and faithful partner in what they consider their ministry together since their marriage in 1978. This ministry together now includes a role as Director of Pastoral Care for Seniors at the Independent Presbyterian Church, in Savannah, Georgia. He also continues to be involved in the training of future pastors through his teaching at various campuses of the Reformed Seminary of Latin America.
